FAITH HEALER SEES THE LIGHT

Shining example... healer Mary held service in light despite the blackout

Mary's prayers beat power cut
By RONAN O'REILLY

FAITH healer Mary Malone held a service in the middle of a power cut-yet lights in her room stayed ON.

Over 200 people watched in amazement as a whole town was plunged into darkness, except the hotel ballroom where Mary was praying.

The lights blazed away at the River Room Hotel in Newcastle West, Co Limerick, as Mary embraced her followers.

ESB officials said it was sheer coincidence- that the lights did not flicker throughout Mary's session.

But hotel staff were baffled-and witnesses insisted the phenomenon was due to Mary's special powers. Thousands of ill folk have travelled to see Mary, from Limerick - known as the mother of all faith healers. The world-famous visionary has travelled to 186 countries to give aid.

Hotel manager Sean Gleeson said: "there were all kinds of people here. They meditated beforehand then the healer met them all.
"We found the whole thing extremely weird. The front of the hotel was in total darkness - but the lights in the ballroom never went out".
